Terms of Service
Effective August 1, 2026
These terms cover your use of the TalkingSheet web dashboard and the TalkingSheet Google Sheets add-on (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or installing the add-on, you agree to them.
The Service
TalkingSheet lets you ask questions about a Google Sheet, generate/explain formulas, scan for data issues, and build reports, using AI to interpret the data you send it. It's a tool for reading and summarizing your own data — always double-check anything you use for a real decision, the same way you'd check a formula you didn't write yourself.
Accounts and plans
- You need a Google account to sign in and to use the add-on.
- Free, Pro, and Team plans each include a monthly AI-usage credit pool that resets at the start of each calendar month; a daily limit also applies to every account as an abuse-prevention measure regardless of plan.
- Turning on "Use my own API key" (BYOK) routes your requests through your own AI provider account instead of ours — you're responsible for any costs your own provider charges you directly.
- Team plans pool usage across every member against the team owner's subscription.
Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment processor, Polar, on the interval you choose (monthly or yearly). You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the Billing page; changes take effect on your next billing cycle unless stated otherwise at checkout.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to process data you don't have the right to share with an AI provider.
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits, credit checks, or plan gating.
- Use the Service in a way that disrupts it for other users, or attempt to reverse-engineer it.
AI-generated content
Answers, formulas, and reports are generated by an AI model based on the data you send it. They can be wrong. TalkingSheet cites the source cells behind an answer where possible so you can verify it, but you remain responsible for checking anything before you rely on it.
Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms, including abusive usage patterns that circumvent rate or credit limits.
Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, TalkingSheet is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions made based on AI-generated answers.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially, we'll update the effective date above and, for significant changes, let you know via email or an in-product notice.
